What if I don’t know what training I need?

We work with you to decide the best development options for you, your team and organisation. Sometimes diversity of experience in a public programme can deliver exponential benefits. Alternatively, an in-house customised programme enables us to work with you to identify your organisation’s specific challenges and objectives and develop solutions to suit.

Our expertise is in creating the most effective programmes that achieve both individual and organisational improvement in performance and results both individually and across your organisation . Check out our diagnostic tool here or contact us for more info.

What countries do you deliver in?

We are based in Auckland, New Zealand and deliver training throughout Australasia.

What is your relationship with FranklinCovey?

David Forman Ltd is the New Zealand licensee for FranklinCovey. We have accredited facilitators in New Zealand delivering the world-renowned FranklinCovey programmes; we also have access to our FranklinCovey colleagues in Australia.

What level of experience do you develop programmes for?

Because we work across a wide range of organisations and industries, our training is suitable for a variety of work situations and job roles. Whether an individual is leading a team, moving into a more senior position or needs to enhance their own skills to deliver on current responsibilities, our programmes provide positive outcomes quickly and cost-effectively.

Do you deliver any online or eLearning programmes?

David Forman has a proud history of delivering face-to-face training through our skilled facilitation team. We strongly believe that for soft skills such as sales training, face-to-face is the most effective channel for true behavioural change. Through the practice of new skills and development, you will gain, not only the competence in these skills, but also the confidence to apply them back on the job.

While we advocate face-to-face training, we do use other channels to transfer knowledge and to support, reinforce and embed the learnings from the in-person workshops:

  • All David Forman workshops have pre- and post-workshop exercises which are available online through our Learning Management System.
  • All of our programmes have learning tools to help participants implement their new skills – these may include checklists, meeting structure templates or coaching guides. Traditionally, these methods were either online templates or in paper form, however we have recently begun to develop these tools as smartphone/tablet applications.
  • We use electronic channels such as webinars or social media, e.g. LinkedIn or Facebook groups, to encourage participant and/or facilitator interaction and collaboration on projects.
  • We frequently use Skype, webinars and other video/phone conference tools to help with coaching when the facilitator and participants are unable to meet in person.
  • Whichever channel we use, engaging and motivating learners to apply the skills effectively and consistently is key to the success.

How do you measure your training?

At David Forman we design, develop and deliver outcome-focused learning and truly believe that training that doesn’t result in improved behaviours in the workplace is a waste of time and money!
During our fieldwork process, we agree on the metrics to be used once the finalised outcomes and content are agreed upon. Then we use Kirkpatrick’s model (www.kirkpatrickpartners.com) to assess our training effectiveness against these metrics.
The ultimate measure, however, is ROI. Based on recent projects, the average increase in top-line sales after implementing a David Forman programme is around 25%.
